IHA FOUNDATION RESCUES & PROVIDES RELIEF TO VICTIMS OF FIRE

Hundreds of people were left homeless after devastating fire broke out in a garage next to their homes on Gurusaday Road, destroying their makeshift houses and leaving them homeless and without any food this winter. The area is one of the cities oldest and is densely populated. The slum has been turned into ashes, reducing nearly 20 families to homelessness.

IHA Foundation under the guidance of its Chairman Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, has been providing food and daily essentials for the last few days to the families who have been left homeless by this fire.

IHA Foundation has always come forward to serve the needy whether its be during the Majerhat Bridge Collapse, Cyclone Alia, Cyclone Amphan, Corona Pandmeic or the Lockdown. Therefore we at IHA Foundation believed that it was our responsibility to serve them food and other essentials till the time their homes are rebuild during this winter

With the mission to rebuild their homes and enable these families to survive during these winters we have therefore distributed each family with a Set of complete Utensils like Stove,Kadhai, Dechki, Chakki, Belan, Haadhi, Tawa, Bonti, Saarasi, Plates, Glasses, Kunti etc along with a months ration like Rice, Atta, Potato, Oil, Onion, Spices etc for them to self-sustain and cook on their own, with the goal to bring their lives back on track to the extent possible.”

After the Corona Pandemic, Lockdown and Harsh Winters this Fire has devastated the live of the people living in these slums, we are trying the best we can with the resources available to us, we are thankful to the authorities for allowing us to serve during this hour of need.
