On the occasion of the Prakash Utsav of the second Guru Sri Guru Angad Dev ji, Kolkata based IHA Foundation led by Chairman S. Satnam Singh Ahluwalia organized a historical Yatra from Darbar Sahib Golden Temple, Amritsar India to Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib, Pakistan. The Yatra’s name was “Kudrat ke Sab Bande” (All human being’s are Nature’s creation), with the message to spread Peace, Unity and Brotherhood.
The Yatra started from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Golden Temple, Amritsar where Giani Malkit Singh Ji, Head Granthi and Singh Sahib Giani Rajdeep Singh ji, Sri Darbar Sahib recited the Ardaas for Sarbat da Bhalla (Well being of All).
Jatha(Delegation) with more than 100 (hundred ) passengers/yatree’s started from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar to reach Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib Pakistan, via the Kartarpur Corridor. The First Sikh Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji founded Kartarpur on the banks of river Ravi and spent 18 years of his life. The Gurdwara was built to commemorate the site where Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, settled after his missionary work and did farming.
Kolkata based IHA Foundation Chairman Satnam Singh Ahluwalia along with Gyani Malkit Singh Ji - Head Granthi Akal Takht Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Rajdeep Singh ji, Sri Darbar Sahib along with members of the Delegation were welcomed by the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee Chairman (PSGPC) S. Ameer Singh Ji, Head Granthi Nankana Sahib, Singh Sahib Gobind Singh ji - Head Granthi Kartarpur Sahib, Ramesh Singh Arora - Member Provincial Assembly Lahore, Pakistan, S. Bishen Singh, S. Satwant Singh - former Presidents(PSGPC) - among others at Zero Line of India and Pakistan.
Sardar Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman of IHA Foundation was honoured by Bhai Sarfaraz, Bhai Nayim Tahir, Bhai Hussain- the 18th and 19th Generation family of Mardana ji with a Rabab, the instrument that Bhai Mardana Ji used to play on his missionary travels with Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji across various continents. Sai Ali Raza Kadri – 20th Generation of Sai Mian Mir ji, who laid the foundation stone of Golden Temple Sri Darbar Sahib honoured Satnam Singh Ahluwalia with Kadambari Assa, the stick with which Mian Mir used to move around with support.
The Delegation consisted of not only Sikhs, but also members of Sindhi Community, Bengali Community and from not only different parts of India but also from other countries such Thailand.
The Jatha which was led by Satnam Singh Ahluwalia took along with them more than 500 kgs of ration for Langar and other essentials for the Kartarpur Sahib Sri Darbar Sahib Gurdwara. Kirtan and Gurmat Vichar was also recited on celebration of the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji.
“We believe that we all are one – Kudrat ke sab Bande – the mission of the Yatra is to spread the message of Peace, Unity and Brotherhood among the two nations and to ensure that the principles of Sri Guru Nanak Devji and Sri Guru Angad Devji is remembered and practiced. We believe we may be separated by a line, but as human beings we are one and this is the message that we wanted to give across via this Yatra”, said Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation.
