The success of the Free Oxygen Langar Sewa organized by IHA Foundation being run for the past 20 days at Gurdwara Behala which has served more than 550 families and refilled 363 Oxygen Cylinders which has added in saving so many lives. Subsequently with the surge in Covid19 cases, IHA Foundation went beyond providing oxygen and included Free Medical Assistance for Covid19 patients by Specialist Doctors, Free Medicine for needy Covid patients and Free Refilling of Oxygen cylinders for all.
The overwhelming response of the Free Oxygen Sewa Camp and demand for more camps, we at IHA Foundation in association with Archdiocese of Kolkata and Sola Aana Masjid Committee with the support of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal organised Free Oxygen Sewa Camps at two locations in Kolkata on 30th May,2021 to serve the citizens of Kolkata.
Goethals Memorial Health Centre, Sacred Heart Church (3 Lenin Sarani Road, Esplanade, Kolkata – 700013) was inaugurated at 11:00 AM by Dr.Satnam Singh Ahluwalia (Chairman IHA Foundation), Gopal Chandra Saha (Coordinator Ward 46),Fr Franklin Menezes (Director, Sewa Kendra Calcutta), Fr Dominic Gomes (Vicar General PRO, Archdioecese of Kolkata) and others were present.
The Second Oxygen Sewa Camp was inaugurated at Sola Ana Masjid (11, Kabi Mohammed Iqbal Rd Ekbalpur, Khidirpur, Kolkata – 700023) at 01:30 PM by Jb Firhad Hakim (Chairman , Board of Administrators, Minister Govt of West Bengal), Dr.Satnam Singh Ahluwalia (Chairman IHA Foundation), Moulana Shafique Qasmi (Imam of Nakhoda Masjid), Moulana Qari Fazlur Rahman (Imam e Eidaan), Nizamuddin Shams(Coordinator Ward 78), Shafkat Ali (President, Sola Aana Masjid Comm) Moulana Sk Md Hamid Hossain (Imam of Sola Aana Masjid), Jb Ejaz Ahmed (General Secretary, Sola Aana Masjid Comm) and others were present.
“We received overwhelming response at the Free Oxygen Langar Sewa Camp at Gurdwara Behala, hence we decided to open two more Oxygen Sewa Camps in different parts of the city. Opening Oxygen Camps at a Church and a Mosque denotes that we all are together in this fight against Covid, all the three Oxygen Camps will serve to all irrespective of what religion they belong to. We can only fight this pandemic when we all come together.”, said Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation.
“Our mission is to reach more and more persons so that no life is lost in Kolkata due to the lack of Oxygen availability, we have also gone beyond providing oxygen and are now providing free medicine to the needy, consultation of specialist Doctor’s and free oxygen cyclinder refilling. Our effort is not to refuse anyone. Our first priority is to save lives.” Further added Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation.

Satnam Singh Ahluwalia added that “We believe opening Oxygen Camps at religious places will give dual benefit to the people who are coming, in the first place they will get free Oxygen for themselves and secondly they will be getting the blessings of the Almighty.”
