Cheti Chand or Jhulelal Jayanti is an important festival, celebrated and observed by the members of the Sindhi community. Sindhi community celebrates their New Year along with the birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal on this day. This year, Cheti Chand or Jhulelal Jayanti was celebrated on April 2.
Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation,General Secretary, Gurdwara Behala and United Interfaith Foundation - India along with Taher Totanwala of Bohra Muslim Community and Fr. Devendra participated along with other religious leaders and community heads.
Satnam Singh Ahluwalia was specially honoured by the Sindhi Panchayat Community on this occasion for his relentless contribution to serve humanity.
Sindhi Chezz and Dularis from Rajasthan, Laadas and Songs were the main Highlights of the celebration.
"Cheti Chand is a day of Celebration for all Sindhis across the world and this year after two long years we celebrated the Festival by also calling upon different religious leaders and community heads", said Murli Punjabi, General Secretary, Sindhi Panchayat.
"After a gap of two years we are celebrating festivals together, this is a time of thanking the almighty and celebrating the new year with our Sindhi friends and family.
