Satnam Singh Ahluwalia – Oxygen Man of Kolkata was honoured by Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh Ji, Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Golden Temple Amritsar (Highest temporal seat of the Sikhs) and Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh Ji, Head Priest Sri Darbar Sahib Golden Temple Amritsar for his relentless sewa to serve people during the second wave of Covid19 pandemic and his effort to aid an assist mankind during these extraordinary times.

During this unusual state of medical emergency, where people are suffering and dying due to the second wave of Covid19, IHA Foundation under the leadership of our Chairman Satnam Singh Ahluwalia had setup Free Oxygen Langar Sewa Camps in various locations in Kolkata, where he saved more than 2256 lives, and refilled more than 3623 oxygen cylinders free of cost. The Free Oxygen Langar Sewa Camp along with providing free oxygen facility to the affected also provided them with Free Medical Assistance and Guidance by Critical Care Specialist Doctor serving more than 1789 persons. IHA Foundation also provided Free Covid medicines as prescribed by the Doctors to the needy who could not afford the expensive Covid related medicine and vitamins to more than 811 person.

The Langar on Wheels initiative is also continuing daily day and night where IHA Foundation has been able to serve more than 29.63 Lakh meals continuously for the last 15 months with a pledge that no one shall stay hungry in Kolkata. The concept of Langar of Wheels is to serve meals to all, regardless of caste, class, religion, gender, social or economic status. Langar on Wheels continued their service outside Hospitals, Railway Stations, Bus Stands,

A Free Vaccination camp for 18+ was organized for the underprivileged and needy at Amritsar. This Free Vaccinnation Camp inoculated 500 persons. IHA Foundation has planned Free Vaccination Camps at various locations across India.

Manav di seva, param dharam" (service to humanity is the highest religion) is the core motto that has been driving us. From the time of Lockdown imposed last year we have been serving food to the needy and underprivildeged through our Langar on Wheels initiative. During the second wave of Covid19 our mission was to keep Kolkata Breathing and we started Free Oxygen Langar Sewa Camps with this is mind. We have been serving and striving to serve mankind, and shall continue to do so. Our mission is to reach more and more persons so that no life is lost, Our first priority is to save lives.

We are aiding and assisting people outside Hospitals, Bus stands, Railway Stations and Bustees.Last year our Sewa was continuous and relentless, and we shall be continuing to serve the needy and underpriviledged under all situations”, said Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation.

Covid19 does not discriminate between poor or rich, we are all together in this fight against Covid19 irrespective of what background we belong to. We can only fight this pandemic when we all come together. Our mission is to reach more and more persons so that no life is lost, at first we were providing oxygen support ,free medicine to the needy, consultation of specialist Doctor’s and free oxygen cylinder refilling and now our mission is to get more and more people vaccinated.
