KOLKATA’S IHA FOUNDATION PROVIDES MEDICAL AID TO UKRAINE

As heartbreaking images from the war-torn Ukraine floods the internet and all the television channels go in a frenzy with the bone chilling images of cities being destroyed one after the another, and men, women and children all looking scared and running worried for their lives.

Kolkata based IHA Foundation’s Chairman Satnam Singh Ahluwalia has been constantly in touch with his team in Poland and Ukraine who have setup Medical Camps for the war affected injuerd people including women and children, who are camping in temporary shelters of United Sikhs Camp along Medkya, Poland-Ukraine Border. A Huge Tranche of Medical Aid, consisting of essential medicines for Heart, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Liver, Thyroid, Stomach, Pain Killers, Antibiotics, Gastric, Skin Oinments, Cough and Colds which is the need of the hour, as the requirement for the same had been requested from the Medical Camp in Medkya, as many people who are staying in refugee camps and are suffering due to lack of medical supplies, were sent to Ukraine by IHA Foundation under the guidance of their Chairman Satnam Singh Ahluwalia.

“The Military operation launched by Russia on the neighboring republic of Ukraine, aiming at full scale invasion of the country, had sent shock waves throughout the globe and is threatening World Peace altogether. As humans of the globe, we cannot remain indifferent to this grave situation; we need to also come together and help the people stuck, we as humans cannot shy away from serving humanity.”, said Satnam Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman IHA Foundation.

We had been constantly receiving messages and videos from Ukraine about the grave situation the people are in, we wanted to reach Ukraine and help our brothers and sisters there, in the meanwhile we have sent across essential medical aid so that the people who are in medical camps, Medyka Ukraine-Poland Border of United Sikhs and are suffering can get necessary relief, our team members are in the borders and are serving both sides of the border.

Our humanitarian response to any crisis must always be rooted in action and so we invite each and every one to join with us in ensuring that we stand with our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and that the world may once again choose peace, strengthening those international bodies that enable us to work and live together as one humanity.
